Ruins of Lordaeron

Large tombs, broken sightlines, and tight corners around the center.

The tombs create frequent line-of-sight breaks. Teams that hold a usable corner make aggressive pushes expensive.

Geometry briefing

This is a durable orientation brief for the map's terrain and line-of-sight choices. It remains available, but is intentionally excluded from search until current-rotation research, mode-specific examples, and visual callouts have been source-reviewed.

Game Plan

Position with a purpose

Opening position

Claim a tomb edge that lets your healer see the center. Pressure from the open side instead of running deep behind a marker.

Healer plan

Use the outer tomb edge to duck crowd control while retaining a lane to your team. Move early against a cross-map setup.

Damage plan

Pull a target around a tomb to separate it from its healer, then use control before the healer rounds the corner.

Do not lose here

Both DPS disappearing behind a tomb forces the healer to step into crowd control or lose line of sight.

Map-Specific Edge

Ruins of Lordaeron tip

Tomb corners are micro-resets: break one cast, recover a global, and re-enter from a new angle.

Fundamentals

Arena positioning and team play

Review healer radius, triangle positioning, cooldown trades, roles, and class identities.

Setup

Arena macros and keybinds

Build arena-target, focus, party utility, and stopcast controls that work when the map gets chaotic.
